One of the top questions we get asked is which stand mixer should I buy, so we’re testing three of the most popular models, head-to-head! Check out our unboxing of the KitchenAid Artisan, Kenwood KMix and Aucma Stand Mixer to see just what you get with each of these beauties, and our initial thoughts on each. And don’t forget to tune in next Thursday when we’ll be putting all three of these mixers through their paces in a full review to tell you guys which you should buy!

This video is not paid for, endorsed or arranged with any of the brands mentioned – we bought the mixers ourselves and we’re going to give you our 100% honest opinions!

**This video was filmed before the Covid-19 crisis kicked off. Rest assured, we are all staying 2 meters apart from one another now! Please stay safe, everyone. We all hope you are coping with the situation as best you can and we hope we can give you some great content to keep your spirits up in the meantime!** #cupcakejemma #unboxing #standmixerreview

That guy looked like a model until he opened his mouth

  2. Maroun Khoury says:

I have the Kenwood Major Titanium. Ive had it for 7 years. A heavy duty machine. Every one who loves baking, should invest in one.
    God bless you all

  3. Dawn Elrad says:

I’m in the USA, and have a KitchenAid. I understand what you mean when you want to get a special color or bowl. My philosophy is the KitchenAid mixer is jewelry for the kitchen!

  4. Emma Collicott says:

Is Jemma's extra tool (with the rubber bit) a folding tool? If so, how does it perform?

  5. Miriam Fleming says:

Hi please let us know the power watts of each and test heavy dough double batch in each as well as super small batches!! Thanks love your videos!!

  6. Carrie McCall says:

I have a kitchen aid classic (it’s slightly smaller than the artisan) but I got it at a really good price on sale. My mom has had her artisan for over 20 years and it’s still going strong!

  7. woozone says:

I love this review. You guys are great. And I've never heard about the AUCMA before, and I have to say that looks like a bargain.

  8. Thrain25 says:

Hi Jemma and team, I have delayed my purchase on the strength of this post! I was going out to buy a KitchenAid but eagerly await the results of your test!
I originally bought a Giles and Posner stand mixer, although it was a solid machine it was not up to the job, as I was new to caking (not sure if that is a word) I didn’t really know what to look for. When the mixer deposited the contents of its gearbox into my mix I realised my mistake. I then purchased an Ambiano (Aldi) as a stop gap, to be honest it has been good, but they both had a limited running time, 5 minutes, a bit of a problem, the Ambiano is making funny clunking noises so I suspect it is on its last legs.
I look forward to your results, one question, what running times do the three machines you have on test have?
    Cheers Dave, South Wales.
Love the show, keep up the good work and stay strong!

Would be interested to know how much dough each mixer can handle? I have a Kmix and mixed 1kg of flour for brioche dough and nearly killed it. I later read the manual and it says don’t mix more than 600g of flour at once for dough. Gotta give it credit, it’s still going, but I now knead my brioche dough by hand (which gives a fluffier result due to the heat in my hands when kneading I think!). Would also love your thoughts on the speed switch on the kitchen aid vs the dial on the Kmix and aucma. Thanks!

Pistachio color is so pretty! 😍❤💕

  17. missperfecto1981 says:

    are Jemma and Sally sisters?

  18. Débora Serra says:

I would like to compare the slowest speed and the pontence (?)… In my country I can't find a mixer that goes slow enough so the powder won't fly everywhere…
If you guys could inform that, I Will appreciate very much… thanks

  19. Brissy Girl says:

Bosch make a really good all in one mixer too. Noreen's Kitchen has one that she got after ordering a kitchenaid and it arrived broken.

I will be waiting eagerly for your tests since I want to get a mixer of some sort, but all the one's I've found so far are waaaay out of my price range.

  20. Kabloona Kelly says:

I'm a bit ticked-off by KitchenAid.  As they say "they don't make things like they used to".  KitchenAid now uses a plastic transmission housing instead of metal one.  Even on my "professional 6 quart" model! After the transmission housing cracked, which misaligned gears, I completely rebuilt and greased the unit.  I ordered a replacement metal transmission housing from KitchenAid and its worked perfect since.  If memory serves the metal housing was about $12.   ……Why the hell would they stake a reputation for durability by not shipping them from the factory with the metal housing!?!?!?!

  21. Mendy Silva says:

Omg yes! I’d love to see an electric hand mixed review some day!! 🥰

  22. Victoria Bunn says:

I got a kenwood for Christmas, i was looking at kitchen aid but as a hobby baker I couldn’t commit to the price. I LOVEmy kenwood and does an amazing job!

  27. Lauren Smith says:

Wattage? I feel like that is also an important factor.

  28. Elizette Joys Monsale says:

Awww I want that kitchen aid it is my dream stand mixer 😳

  29. dolly petrova says:

I had my "Kenwood K Mix BARCELONA" for 4 years now and I love it !😍❤

  30. TheRealCoppelia says:

I'm getting the same Kitchenaid mixer very soon. Just a question about the colour… does anyone else think that the pistachio colour looks way different in the video than it does in any online catalogue that you look at? It looks a bit greener in the catalogues, and I haven't been able to see one in person. Maybe it's just the lighting. I'm asking because I'm really quite torn between the pistachio, or the "truffle" colour that it also comes in.

  31. Lebohang Mntambo says:

I've had the KitchenAid professional 6.9L standmixer for almost 2 years and it's great. But I was gifted the Kenwood Titanium Chef XL 5 months ago and honestly it works just as well as the KitchenAid without the hefty price tag.

  32. Katrina Nichols says:

Hi Jemma. Love watching your videos. I am in New Zealand and am looking at buying the KitchenAid Atisan Lift Mixer 4.8L. Would you recommend this over the non-lift?

  33. Amanda Long says:

Dane had an attachment in the other polystyrene that he put to his left… he didn't get it out… hope he found it later 😬😬😬

  34. pamela jean amansec says:

I bought KitchenAid artisan 4years ago in Singapore. i only use it 5 times.. the 5th time was just last week due to lockdown. Good thing its still working.

  35. Amy Love says:

I feel like it would have been a fairer comparison with a Kenwood Chef over the KMix.

  36. Rabia Ali says:

Hi jemma hope you and baby are in best of health… Could you tell me the model no of the kitchen aid… They're so many versions 🤣

  37. Suganya k says:

Im really poor kindly send one stand mixer for me 🥺😢😢😢

  38. amanda routh says:

Hi I went and bought a kitchenaid mixer I use one in the school I work at so for my early birthday treat my mum bought me on

  39. willeymunda says:

As the KitchenAid artisan 125 is available for £299 in a lot of places at the moment would that be a better choice than the kmix if the artisan is £299 and the kmix is £249

  45. Jo Troub says:

could you please tell me the exact model number of the kitchen aid mixer as there are so many that look the same and would like to buy the one you used on your video

  46. Hazrd Rose NYC says:

I have several Kitchen Aid stand/hand mixers and there my favorite. I’ve had the Kenwood in an industrial size and didn’t care for it. It’s was a gift, for a family of 3 it was ridiculous 🤣 The kitchen aid is hands down the best for my needs! I’m so jealous of your pistachio color, mine is a beautiful blue, but green is my fav color. Next go I’m getting pistachio lol. Love your channel!

  47. Barbara Bueno-Welton says:

    I LOVE my KitchenAid!
