I did this recipe and my family and I really liked it. .

    – I put 140g of brown sugar and it was the perfect sweetness ! Which is half the quantity she uses with LIGHT brown sugar. So if you use (white) granulated or caster sugar, I recommend you to use 140g and less of sugar !
    – I used 150g of margarine (cause I didn't have enough left). Even though the blondies felt oily to the touch.

I would make this again, but I'm still sticking to 140g (or less) of brown sugar.

Edit: I've made this recipe again :p
But I made a couple of changes and here are my advices

    – I put 100g of brown sugar (but it is a little under sweet to my taste)
    – I put 1 banana (instead of 2, because I only had 1 banana)
    – I put 100g of melted margarine

Result: the blondie was less oily. But the batter was too thick, caused by the lack of wet ingredients. So I added some (soy) milk to thin it out. And you could also add more maple syrup since it was under sweet ✌

Can I exclude the maple syrup?

These were fabulous. I made them and nearly ate the whole batch in one go. It was packed with banana flavour and had intermittent bursts of milk chocolaty goodness! Thank you for the recipe, I will be making them again. Hopefully they will last longer than 3 days.

I just made this (replaced the chocolate with raw pecans) it's wonderful! Chewy top, fluffy inside, not too sweet.

I've made this cake with zucchini instead of bananas and it is such a moist, chocolate cake… and no one knows there's zucchini in it.

This was awesome! But it was way too sweet, I'll advise folks to reduce the amount of sugar by a couple grams, esp if their bananas are super ripe

Is it ok to skip bananas and keep the rest of the recipe the way it is ?

Hello Jemma! Today i’ve tried this recipe and it’s super delicious me! But my mum said that it’s very sweet for her:( Is it possible to keep all ingredients at same size but to reduce sugar? Or should i substitute missing sugar with another ingredient? Thank you💓
