Red Velvet & White Chocolate Chip Cookies | Cupcake Jemma

Love Red Velvet but kinda bored of cake? These cookies are the answer! Rich with vanilla and a hint of cocoa, they are so moreish, you’ll need to bake a secret second batch for yourself!

Recipe –
200g plain flour
20g cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
115g unsalted butter, soft
150g light soft brown sugar
50g caster sugar
1 large free range egg
2 tbsp natural yoghurt
1.5 tsp vanilla extract
1.5 tsp red food colour paste
100g white chocolate chips

    I've tried this recipe and it's delicious. The problem is my cookies aren't red enough so it looks like brown cookies rather than red velvet. May be because i use liquid colour food not paste.

    Hi Jemma, I tried making these today (1/2 the recipe), but even after leaving in the fridge for an hour, the dough was really too sticky to form into balls. I then put it in the freezer for a bit, but that didn't work either. Any suggestions on what I may have done wrong? Thanks.
